Worship

Our worship is traditional in style with a relaxed atmosphere.

During the school year, clergy wear robes and stoles. Summers are more relaxed.

Music is a mix of traditional hymns and some newer songs. Worship music includes pipe organ, piano, chancel choir, handbells and children's choir. Read more about music at OCC by going to our Music page.

Children and middle school (Jr. High) youth begin worship with their friends and family in the sanctuary.
Children are invited to the front of the sanctuary to participate in "A Time For All" with a leader.
Following this time, they leave for church school (10-15 minutes into service).

High school (Sr. High) youth may choose to remain in worship, or use Sunday mornings as an opportunity for service by helping with classes for younger children, preparing items for use in the children's ministry, singing in choir, serving as liturgist, serving as usher and more.
